Performance Shoes

From lightweight to ultra-cushioned, the performance category includes shoes specifically designed for intense training and to help you push yourself on race day. These shoes are typically an addition to your regular rotation. Check out our sub- categories: minimal cushioning , super trainer and competition , in order to find your next partner to help you beat your best time on your favorite event.

Competition

Racing shoes can be compared to a treat, a little treat that you give yourself as a runner to maximize your performance on race day. Designed with super foams and carbon plates, these shoes optimize each stride by propelling you with each step. On the other hand, they are less structured, offer limited stability and are not very durable. We advise you to reserve them for your events and only use them during a few training sessions, in order to take full advantage of their potential on the big day. From 5 km to marathon, each brand offers models adapted to the different events. All you have to do is find the one that suits you.

Super Trainer

The super trainer is a new category of shoe that has emerged in recent years, halfway between the daily training shoe and the racing shoe. This category is based on three main characteristics: the use of a super foam (ultra dynamic), a sole with a "rocker" effect providing a balance, and, in most cases, the presence of a plate. These same properties are also found in racing shoes, but what sets super trainers apart is: better support, greater durability and their versatility. Designed to complement your shoe rotation with a "daily training" type model, super trainers are extremely versatile and are suitable for tempos, long rides and race day.

minimal cushioning

The plateless performance shoe, once used as a model to excel from 5k to marathon, remains very popular with many runners. This category offers lighter models with less protection to maximize ground contact with each stride. Ideal for interval sessions or short fast runs, on track or asphalt, it is an alternative to plate models. For runners accustomed to this type of shoe, it can be used as a sole pair for all types of training.
